High Wych Allotments are situated in the centre of the village of High Wych in Hertfordshire.
The site comprises 31 allotments of approximately 10 rods in size with several being halved to 5 rods apiece.
The High Wych Allotment Association was formed as recently as 2007 with a view to supporting plot holders in the bulk purchase of products to support the tending of their plots, sharing skills and experience, promoting good practice and developing and maintaining the site for the benefit of all.
The High Wych Allotment Association is a member of the NSALG (National Society of Allotment and Leisure Gardeners) and as such enjoys further benefits such as a quarterly magazine packed with useful help and advice.
Working an allotment has recently become very popular as people return to the idea of growing their own fruit and vegetables - not to mention the health benefits of actually working the land! In common with many allotment sites around the UK today, there is now a waiting list for allotments at our site - this list currently stands at 7.
